I'd say we're headed for something more like the Troubles or the Years of Lead rather than an all-out Civil War, but everyone sees it coming / happening and Biden has done nothing to prevent it. Plus, every president of the 21st century is going to fall in the rankings as climate change gets worse. So even without getting into the death toll in Gaza or here from Covid he's going to be low on the list for the same reasons all of the pre-Civil War presidents are.

oh yeah? have you considered the bill that's bringing computer chip manufacturing back to America? which, uh, isn't going so well because of the costs of construction, the lack of trained US labour in that field, and the high labour costs compared to manufacturing chips abroad, as well as China's efforts which will inevitably result in much cheaper and probably more efficient and effective chips just like most of the things that China makes compared to the West?

and if that isn't good enough, think about Biden's efforts on the climate. as in, the bad ones. like, boosting American natural gas production, which might not actually be any less emitting than oil due to the methane released. and putting tariffs on Chinese solar panels and electric vehicles while simultaneously failing to create viable, and particularly cheap, mass production of those same products

he is at least good on labour. as in, good at crushing labour strikes if they would have a notable impact, and presiding over a general decline in the number of workers represented by unions over his term. we have to note the good things, though! after all, it makes total sense to give kudos to somebody who only does almost entirely bad things instead of entirely bad things! if you murder 1000 people, you are more moral and noble than somebody who kills 1001
