Honestly, as someone who’s had a history of depression and anxiety since highschool, it’s scary how the few times I’ve tried Oxycontin I’ve felt like a normal fucking person. I was having actual fun interacting with people, especially my friends, I was laughing, I was joking around. I felt like the person I remember being from way back when.

I had tried everything, anti-depressents, therapy through many different professionals, rec drugs such as weed, psychadelics, nothing came close to relieving my symptoms besides maybe alcohol which is totally inconsistent and a poisoned chalice and maybe gabapentin if I even remember it correctly.

I haven’t touched opiates since the few times I’ve tried it because I just know it will be the end of me.

      yea

      Real :(

I don't think we are born heroin addicts, the capitalist world we live in makes people sick, physically and mentally, and substances are a quick, temporary, relief from it

I want to believe if we got isekaied into communism we could be happy again

Selling communism to anime nerds cuz revolution is like a collective isekai

What I mean is the effects of heroin are so highly addictive that it's impossible not to become an addict. The capitalist hellscape only changes whether or not you're willing to cross the threshold. Under communism, fewer people would be willing to give up. But you'd still have people with addiction problems, with heroin having the worst potential.

I had the same issue. When I started out on opiates, I wasn't nodded out, I was taking low doses and cleaning my house, spending time with friends. Gabapentinoids do the same thing but better imo. If it wasn't for how addictive both substances are (and inconsistent opiate supply) I'd still be on it.

If you haven't tried it, kratom is worth giving a shot. Very similar to opiates, but nowhere near as heavy. The withdrawal is also WAYYY easier than real opiate withdrawal if you get hooked
