put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!
from @CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net:
For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.
I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.
No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!
last minute "funniest outcome" attempt: electoral draw, all four of Trump, Harris, Vance and Walz successfully assassinated by suspects known to the FBI within 48 hours, Joe remains president
"Excellent work, jack. Return to base for your next assignment."
my idea for the funniest outcome is trump wins, biden dies, kamala becomes president, trump becomes president, trump dies, vance becomes president
4 presidents in 2.5 months is by far the funniest outcome possible
I've been saying this for months, a year of four presidents would really cement the "farce of the fall of Rome" vibes USA has
Year of the Four
EmperorsPresidents.Would be perfect for the continued decline of the US.
"My reign of terror has only Bigun." - Joseph Robinette "it ain't Joever til it's Joever" Biden Jr.
the joeman empire lasted 1500 years
Joseph Robespierre Biden
Immortan Joe lives
BUILD BACK BIDEN
That assassin’s name?
joke ruining technicality, but also an even more insane scenario that could follow
If it happens before the electoral college votes they can pick someone else, though the draw means the House would likely decide between the substitute candidates.
But if the funny thing happens after the electoral college votes, I don't even know what the House would be able to do.
Most likely Mike Johnson would become acting president since he's next in line. Assuming Rs win the House.
But lmao what if there's another internal fight over speakership between January 3rd and 20th? Johnson has been disappointing to the reps that kicked McCarthy out. No Speaker to become acting President means whatever nonagenarian they traditionally put at the head of the Senate has to be acting president.
The Joeperium cannot be defeated
