Xenia, the fox girl mascot of Linux, was first designed in 1996 by Alan Mackey. She was meant to be an alternative to Tux, the official mascot.
She had fallen into obscurity, but was noticed by a Twitter user in 2019 and was redrawn as a fox girl. But as it turned out, Xenia was originally meant to be male! The original creator, Alan, was cool with this, saying "It matches the transition of a lot of the smartest, nerdiest Linux users I know" and "And sure, you made her trans!".
So now we have a trans Linux mascot. And I think that's neat.

no don't apologise, u did nothing wrong i'm fully on board with crypto hate. i just kinda think it might do a lot of harm to actually make it illegal without solving the problems that lead people to need to use it. particularly now that even more US trans people are gonna lose access.
yup, my adhd meds come that way too. unfortunately i can't afford the actual meds - but i actually get fewer side effect from just basic amphetamine so it's not really a problem.
having to get antidepressants like that is uh... kinda depressing. was talking to partner a while ago about if we should try and sell their old psychiatric meds since they came off them. they're nothing that people would wanna take recreationally but we figured it might be the only option for some people who actually need them. and yeah that sucks. i had a postage fuckup with my hormones recently and that was kinda bad, and i ended up taking some extremely expired, open vials of scraps i had lying around because it affected me so badly. it was a risk for sure, i have no problem taking expired meds but injections are something i'm much more cautious about. but it paid off, nothing bad happened.
