it feels like they're desperately trying to relive the days of hysteria around Government Control during covid that swept up a lot of the less extreme conservatives

during covid that swept up a lot of the less extreme conservatives

it's funny because once the happenings actually started they insisted the disease was fake

we're gonna have actual fucking gray aliens abducting people in front of our eyes and they'll think the aliens are fake, and that instead the FBI sprayed LSD in the chemtrails to MKultra their entire neighborhood

Do you think it’s just ingrained contrarianism that causes this? I’m always amazed when the narrative flips on a dime like that and all memories of the previous one seem to get erased to them.

The thing is I know quite a few conservatives (mostly family members and people I work with) who were initially scared about the news reports of covid deaths during January and February of 2020. Then Trump and RW media pundits made it clear what their stance on covid was, and they all fell in line saying it was fake or overblown.

These people are all told what to think.

And now liberals and even a few leftists are convinced covid is overblown and no measures are needed.
