    I never understood why they made it into an "addiction" that individual children need to be "cured" of instead of targeting internet cafes and intentionally addictive free-to-play garbage. Like, don't let people do heroin in a drug flop, that solves most of the issue right there.

    edit: also the history of using psychiatric diagnoses to persecute people is long and troublesome

      I would assume that its because this is a much MUCH easier solution to implement then tackling the free2play industry and the way they've made them addictive. There's just so much absolute garbage out there that's scientifically designed to keep you engaged.
