Bro I was just about to post about this. I lurked through a V*ush fan's profile and found r/antifavaushtoss and r/okbuddyvowsh and there's probably other subs dedicated to him. They're so fucking annoying, they call MLs red fascists and "tankies" and think bringing attention to "charismatic" politicians like AOC and Ilhan Omar is the only way to see socialism. Fuckers don't read theory, they listen to some weird streamer to get their political views.
You know I find it somewhat ironic that when asked to define tankies, Irishladdie more or less describe them as uneducated edgelords that revel in the aesthetics of the left and are obsessed with authoritative figures to an unhealthy degree.
That’s something I’ve noticed about his fans too and most of breadtube. I think most American liberals flirted with the aesthetic and image of a revolutionary because of the trump administration, but were still not quite ready to look too much further left.
The end result is more focus on idpol, which is fine, but then taking more moderate approaches to economics. Foreign policy is even worse but that’s kind of a given with Americans.
