There's a lot of awful shit in there but I just wanted to add a milder complaint

Translations are a very simple concept. You take a word and translate it DIRECTLY into another languages word.

This person literally doesn't know how languages work

yeah, unless it's a very technical text you're translating then you're almost definitely going to need to adapt some of it.

Not just that, any remotely artistic writing is going to have slang and idioms and shit that make no sense if transliterated, and words that simply don't exist in other languages. That's why you have localization, to find a way to present those concepts and emotions in a way that's intuitive to a different culture.

And like, sure there's something to be said for cool nuances or references getting lost in translation, but that's not at all what this chud is on about and more-strict translations are common anyway.

      Haha yeah OK buddy:

TRANSLATION RELATED STATEMENT: VERY SIMPLE OF CONCEPT IS.

SPEAKING OF YOURSELF: WORD GETS TAKE, AND ANOTHER'S LANGUAGE'S WORD DIRECT TRANSLATION DOING (SHOULD HAPPEN).

Sending them back 300 years in time so they get punched in the head for using the word "nice".
