I'm reminded of assholes who refused to wear motorcycle helmets or seat-belts, back in the 90s.
Why would you refuse to wear something as cool as a motorcycle helmet, I dont even have a motorcycle and I want to wear one all the time.
Literally just spite.
Although, as someone who has friends with bikes and periodically wears a helmet, they're not really all that comfortable unless you get a particularly nice one.
