I've been on some Parenti recently and am thinking in his frame of the State vs. the Government. The conservative zeitgeist is unironically taken by this shadowy unaccountable (literally deep state) class interests that seep through the CIA and our foreign policy apparatuses but the nominally more watched FBI is so bad... we've got ourselves some inter class conflict in the state and government apparatuses apparently.
I need to read more from him but how does he define the State and Government?
... If we can also get bulldozing the CIA onto the list too would that mean we'd be more obligated to support the Republicans in gutting the spook agencies over the Dems keeping and empowering them?
Obviously they wouldn't actually do it, but holy fuck it'd be funny if the Qchuds :frothingfash: themselves into actually trying to make it happen
if i believed they were really for it I'd support them. Obviously they only want to limit the Deep State's power insofar as it makes total control of the state by capital more complicated, or when they can use it as a shadow puppet to heighten their petite bourgeois base's fear and paranoia.
