Yeah, listening to this now and he's actually making the ivory tower argument in the other direction. He's talking about basically being one of the only people in left academia/media from a poor background(specifically calling out Amy Goodman for her and all of her siblings apparently going to harvard) I can see why Brace seems to relate to him a lot.
