I hadn't watched it since like 2013 and decided to give it a go to catch up. Every other joke is reddit tier epic bacon or "women belong in the kitchen" shit. I'm cringing at my 14 year old self for finding this funny

    The saiyan saga is alot like that and the first couple episodes of the frieza saga are like that, but I'd say the majority of dbza holds up pretty well. They got better at actually telling jokes. The android/cell saga is great work and honestly I don't even really remember dbz all the great dbza is my official head cannon. They just wrote it better. Not surprising either they were more passionate about it than the writer was.

      Agreed. It took me about the first season or so to find it consistently funny, but I am so glad I did. They aged, production wise, writing wise, comedically, matured as people, became better VAs, etc. It can't be viewed as a single product, even with the same people the whole time a project like that might as well have different people by the end just due to how much people change and how much of a passion project it was
