Ok, we get it, you got baited by advertisers into buying an overpriced chair, that's fine, we all fall for advertisement sometimes, you don't have to write two paragraphs defending your purchasing habits.
I think a major legitimate complaint against gaming or "racer" style chairs is that they lack a lot of the important ergonomic features that make a chair comfortable and less destructive for you to sit in for long periods of time. They're also generally priced higher than other chairs with the same level of build quality, because the cool gamer aesthetic can be a selling point and increase the price.
Herman Miller-style ergonomic mesh office chairs are actually where it’s at. If you buy a lower end one, it won’t be any more expensive than a g*mer chair.
Refurbished Aerons were going for cheapish near the beginning of the pandemic. I had to replace the gas lift piston, but the mesh is still in pretty good shape. The only problem with them (besides the price tag) is that they're weird to get used to, since you're supposed to recline slightly and "float" instead of hunching forward. It makes sense, since you're trying to get the weight off your spinal column, but it's a hell of an adjustment.
I also once scammed a former employer into buying one of the higher-end DXRacer chairs (King series, I think), and that was OK for sitting for about 5-6 hours per day. It was an ass sweat factory, and absolutely not something I would want to be stuck in while working from home for 8-9 hours and then gaming in the same spot.
The Office Depot WorkPro Quantum 9000s are an OK alternative to the Herman Millers, if you can find them on sale.
I sit on my bed and hunch over a laptop. It's the natural shape of the human spine.
Did you decide to write the post after seeing the :joker-gaming: emoji?
Look i'm a good old law biding citizen and I would never do this in the new GTA 6. But you order a chair from: https://store.hermanmiller.com/office/office-chairs/embody-task-chair/4737.html?lang=en_US
Once you get it wait a few days and call them. Tell them you never got it and they will send a new one to you. Once you get the new one return the second unit for a refund and enjoy your awesome chair. My character has no lower back pain now thx to this hack in-game.
You'd probably need to have the $1400 in your bank account free and clear for at least a week or two while you're doing it.
100% i wish that too. That's the only thing I would say is bad about it but I think the other model supports that feature.
You can get an aftermarket mesh headrest that clamps on to the top of the chair. I don't mind mine unless I'm wearing headphones, since they bonk into the frame.
Alternatively you can usually find Herman miller stuff fairly inexpensive through office liquidation auction sites.
Or just get a mesh chair like a hyken from Staples and not have sweaty ass. Bonus you can fart straight through the mesh.
I bought a used gaming chair for $25 from a teenager who had just become aware that they were cringe. It's really comfy and only one piece has come off. Highly recommend buying one if you can find it for like 90% off and if you dont mind a chair that looks like it goes really fast.
I only buy EVGA branded diapers for the ultimate experience in gaming marathons
I have an EVGA EVA suit for when I go into the comments section under AOC's tweets.

I feel like this post was almost entirely due to the new gamer chair joker emote and I absolutely love it
Or...you can just buy a rotating lay-z-boy knock-off and not have slipped discs at 40.
