The actual right wingers would either be full alt-right, spewing lies about Dresden and the clean Wehrmacht or they're at least the good ole boys type who don't give a shit who's on the receiving end of war crimes as long as it's the US doing it, which in a broken clock moment puts them on the correct side of things for this one.
But any context that isn't explicity set into writing within a given process, to the lib, not only can be ignored, it has to be, else the process might be tainted by a human understanding of a situation and not the cold, rational application of the best thing science can muster that they believe it is. And seeing how there's no "the nazis really deserved it tho"-clause for this case, the entire situation gets reduced two two spherical actors in a vacuum doing things and thus, war crimes against nazis makes you the real nazi.
