    Unless this policy follows some universal health care initiative that includes robust metal health services all the way down to the neighborhood community level, this is horribly horribly bad.

      I don't disagree but it's not making it worse than the status quo, which is kind of implied here.

        Two strikes and you go to a mental health institution that is underfunded, overcrowded, and will turn into a "well we gave them some free healthcare, so when the cops shot them after the third time it was totally their fault."

        I know (hope) that the above sentence doesn't be come reality if Yang wins but... he's been pretty consistent about taking a decent idea and making it bad.

      Yea if we actually treated mental illness how it should be treated it would be like saying we are going to send the cops after you if you happen to get cancer more than once.

      Like "oh ho, make sure you don't get sick again billy, you already had the flu once, get it again and there will be some serious repercussions. "
