The funniest part of this is that they think that the republicans are gonna be on board with this. Nah they want you to weasel it down to like 500 billion with none of the money going to transit agencies and most of it going to repairing bridges and roads(i.e just shit for motorists)
They don't need the Republicans to pass it though, it can be done through budget reconciliation. They're just negotiating it down for no reason,
China is planning to spend something like ten trillion over the next decade on their already better than ours infrastructure (not to mention the massive investments in the infrastructure of their trading partners via the BRI). What a fucking joke.
Let's all put together a list of things you could do with the spending lost in this "compromise". I'll start:
