I hope everyone is ready for USA political media to adopt the BBC style that was used against our beloved Long Corbyn.

NYT Reporter: "I see here you have done a lot of community work, particularly with immigrant communities. However, we heard you advocating for Palestinian rights earlier. Tell our readers, why do not support Middle Eastern democracies?"

Soc Dem: "I do support democracies, but Israel is an apartheid state trying to gentrify the surrounding areas. I wouldn't call that a democracy."

NYT Reporter: "Do you see it as troubling to support opinions held by antisemitic organizations? Do not think Israel has a right to exists?"

Soc Dem: "Of course Israel has a right to exists, we all do, but so do Pales.."

NYT Reporter: "Members of your own party have expressed concerns off the record that these antisemitic views are growing under your leadership."

Soc Dem: "But I haven't even been elected yet."

NYT: "And you think an antisemitic populist message is the best way to congress?"

Soc Dem: "That's not at all what I said."

NYT: "No, what you did not say was that you condemn antisemitism. Thank you for your time today, and good luck in the primary."

Soc Dem : "Thank you for having me."

"Second hand reports claim that a giant green Ogre has been wrecking new Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip. Where were your whereabouts during that attack?"

This is a transcript of a real Corbyn interview, isn't it?

I do support democracies, but Israel is an apartheid state trying to gentrify the surrounding areas.

Most socdems dont believe this and the vast majority of the ones that might do will never even take this as a positons , especially on a direct media question. Alluding to it in a tweet in the height of the biggest Israeli genocidal campaign in a decade is very different from having this as your actual policy and official stance on the subject like Corbyn did . Most american and western socdems will both side the subject when brought up and be toothless 360 days per year and wont even come close to giving the "israeli is an apparheid ethnic cleansing non democratic state" ammunition. Of course they are gonna be smeared as antisemitic either way even for their toothless position

I hated comparing Soc Dems to Corbyn, but in Amerikkka they're the most left wing political opposition there is...God I hate it here.

Everything you said was true, including still getting this treatment with a shitty position.

its not even america . Corbyn is to the left of the vast majority of western socdems and even "electoral" demsocs. I would actually say that Corbyn is closer to someone like Chavez in actual economical and foreign policy beliefs than any western prominent socdem. Maybe due to the fact that they both have a communist background (both trots). Old 20th century labor had room for actual communists opperating within them. In comparison even Bernie’s “radical past” was around current Corbyn’s openly demsoc powerlevel. And his modern bluedog socdemism is much less

And then the media uses surveys of Jewish people reporting increased sense of fear over anti-semitism, after months of reporting of mild social democrats criticising Israel as indicating an increasing tolerance of anti-semitism, as a confirmation of increase in anti-semitism due to the "hard left".
