Are these the actors’ pronouns or the characters’?

This all looks pretty good, idk about Patton Oswalt in particular since nothing of the little ive heard from him seems really as I imagined Matthew would sound like, but thats nitpicky. Only other problem I might have is if Desire is the only one cast with a nonbinary person since it kinda leans into fetishisation of enbies and androgynity, hope they cast other nonbinary people as well, typecasting sucks.

Gonna be interesting to see how they cast Morpheus, Delirium, Destruction and Destiny, the other endless actors seem like they fit well. Anyone who complains that Death isnt pure white is just selectively ignoring the part where pure white Morpheus appears as black in his backstory like shut up lmao these are basically above gods.

Sandman does indeed rock. It basically has no reason to be set in the DC universe. If it had been published with any other publisher it would have been fine as a series without Martian Manhunter randomly showing up for three pages.

Vertigo is DC's brand(imprint) for more mature works that features more 'adult content'

They put out some really good stuff under it, Transmetropolitan :spider-mad: for example, and Sandman obviously

I'll admit I'm not a big comic book geek, but I think the incidental placement within that universe, with its decades of existing material provides a really interesting opportunity for Gaiman and other writers to synthesize all of it into a sprawling cosmology. It certainly helps that DC as a rule isn't as insistent that the stories in the universe be tightly bound together as Marvel is, in my experience.

Didn't they like completely abandon the DC crossover shit after the first story arc of retrieving his tools? Those early volumes are always a bit weird to go back to cause the justice league just exists here as a normal thing for Morpehus.

It's Netflix so my expectations are rock bottom, but if Neil Gaiman is actually being allowed to produce this, maybe it will turn out okay?

Completely different network and producers but Doom Patrol kinda slapped, so maybe ᥴꪖρꫀᦓꫝ꠸ꪻ can be good sometimes

Johanna Constantine is John's 18th century ancestor. It's possible that John Constantine will also appear in the series. Though if they do genderflip modern Constantine to Johanna, I hope she's every bit as trashy and disreputable as John.
