The thought of being remembered for something so bland and boring is weirdly scary to me. Maybe Felix was on to something when he talked about how settler-colonialism hollows out your soul and kills any culture, creativity or national identity you might've otherwise had.

At first I was like: "Huh, so she's like what, 25? 26?"
> 20
What the actual fuck.
I'm twenty.
I could never imagine myself in such a position right now, at this moment. I'm too young and stupid for this shit, and now I kinda know why she's dead.
How did Israel manage for decades to have everyone convinced they had one of the most capable and professional militaries on Earth? A 20 year old Major, that isn't even old enough for most people to have acquired a 4 year university degree. It's literally impossible to end up a Major at age 20 in pretty much every professional military on earth.
For fks sake, officers often are required to have a 4 year university degree to get their first commission and start out something equivalent to 2nd lieutenant. Even when there is a national draft and a military is filled with conscripts, you tend to see the enlisted have a bit of rank inflation but commissioned officers tend to be older due to the education requirements.
the idf treats rank like kids in a playground do
part of the reason they're so shit at being an army
"tell me major, how long have you been a soldier?"
"about six months"
Don't worry comrade. In about 2 years when things finally pop off we will all have the rank of commander. Look into the military structure I'm Kurdistan. Because everyone is equal, the only rank is "commander."
