Unrelated but I’ve been watching some King of the Hill recently and enjoying it thoroughly.

the n word moment was a true to life, in group call in which was okay and not racist. source--am a black person. this boondocks however is racist towards other races, is very very sexist, teases abuse and rape, is very homophobic and very mean spirited towards black women // aaron mcgruder is also especially mean to black poor people
yup. its very apparent in the trial of r kelly episode where he showcases the ~ignorant poor black people (mostly in the form of a very fat black loud woman who looks and sounds like monique) fawning over kelly like idiots vs huey who takes a Sophisticated Approach to the Situation.
ofc shit always falls flat when you realize that the person writing an "insightful" "wise" character is also writing other characters around them to be especially dumb
After reading this I went back and damn it's true. It almost reads like McGruder just hates everyone and lets us know with stereotype jokes and cultural navel gazing.
