It was pretty surprising because honestly she's always seemed pretty hostile to the left to me, but she straight up said any "problems" the US is dealing with now with immigrants trying to escape the area into our country is just reaping what they sowed over the past 50+ years, and how bad we fucked them up solely for our market interests. Pretty unexpected to hear that kind of take on mainstream cable TV, esp the bit about overthrowing democratically elected leaders, and def didn't expect it from her, but I'lll def take it no matter who it comes from.
Besides the fact that she's a grifter, I think we've entered a new phase of late empire where we have to acknowledge how fucking evil we are. The liberals recognize this and their response is to get ahead of it so they can control the conversation. They'll tell you the US is a settler-colonial empire and encourage you to call it one, but they'll never tell you how to actually end the settler-colonial empire. Just like it's okay to say it was wrong to topple Saddam, but if you say Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld should be strung up in the Hague for the very crime you're condemning, you're being uncivil.
It's like that CNN guy a couple weeks ago who broke character and explained that the Cold War against China is just the military industrial complex making up a bad guy.
