Does anyone else feel like no matter who wins the election, people are gonna attack the left for it? If biden wins liberals are gonna say that they didn't need the votes of the left or its ideas to win an election. But if biden loses, they are just gonna blame us for not voting and for like tainting bidens campaign with leftism that'll drive away republican swing voters. and well, republicans will attack us either way either saying leftism is dumb, or getting mad that our communist asset got in to the white house.

All the more reason not to vote Biden. If the left is perceived as a threat we may get a little more attention and exposure for our ideas.

But things will I think be a lot worse for the left if Biden wins. Lots of liberals are going to turn their attention to us and blame us for Hillary losing and blame us for being "extremists" and I think the cold war attitude will prevail on the Democrats, that is they'll seek to strongly condemn the left, they'll try and distance themselves from us, they'll try and give the security state new powers to surveil and repress us to show their fealty to American capitalism and to those surveillance organs themselves.

Reactionaries attacking the left is a constant. The only difference is if Biden loses they'll continue attacking liberals and liberals will begrudgingly do some of our fighting for us.

Regardless of all that, things will get worse under Biden because America and the economy are deteriorating rapidly, and Biden and the people around him are obviously not equipped to handle that.

I don't know about that. Its ancient history once Trump is gone. But, there will be a massive divide in the Democratic party, as there would have been in Hillary had won. We will REALLY see a divided party in Congress. Imagine the party controls Congress and the White House, and then we will see the party fighting the progressive caucus about what bills to pass in the historic opportunity. It will have been a really long time since the Democrats didn't have the GOP blocking them. Everyone recalls 2009, but it was only 5 weeks between when Al Franken was allowed into the Senate and when Ted Kennedy died, and it was August when everyone was on recess. So it was very short-lived.

Lets say Dems get that advantage out of the gate in 2021, we will probably see the progressives and liberals debating and fighting along similar lines that the two parties used to fight, before the 60s.

Maybe, I hadn't really thought about that democrats would distance themselves from us before. Im starting to think tuning myself out of anything having to do the presidential election is probably the best thing to do. I can't exactly effect the election all that much, and unless I can somehow play a key role in making the psl or :watermelon: win then im not really interested in taking the time to have to think about it.

2024 ): Presidential elections just keep on happening. 2016 was the first election I really truly had any real awareness of, and I'm already sick of them.

Liberals will always attack the left for whatever bullshit reason they can think of. You're 100% right, but it's best not to dwell on it.
