Critical support for Ganondorf? Seems pretty based. ESPECIALLY considering all the nonsense the Hylian royal family pulled in the shadow temple.

Edit: watching through the video, it becomes morally gray because there are, in fact, guillotines in the shadow temple. It's hard to say who was right and who was wrong because of this.

If only the people building Ganondorf's castle had a union, none of this would have happened! If I had been Ganondorf, I would have simply joined antifa

There was a comic in Germany not 100 percent sure if canon but Link's mom ran away from Hyrule because of a civil war going on in Hyrule over the triforce. I do believe there is a lot missing in the game and had things panned out we would have gotten a more interesting story. My main thought thinking this is ura zelda.

Shiekan were basically spies and assassins for the royal family and I don't doubt them killing a lot of people to protect the royal families power.

Ganondorf is kind of cool in OoT because you get the feel that he has been scheming for years if not decades.

Definitely and he would have gotten away with it if it weren't for some meddling kids :scoob:

I still like WW version of him though were you here his thoughts and intentions more. Not to mention a major theme of that game was the royal family and Hyrule learning to let go and fade into the past. Old must die so the new can live and forge a new future.

When the Deku Tree tells Link his origins, they mention Link's mother seeking refuge from a bloody war. Details are sparse, but bits from other dialogue and context clues make it appear that that was the war in question.

Also from a video I saw link's mom got turned into a tree, seems like the lost woods are really deadly to everyone entering them.

"Everyone who comes into the woods become Stalfos..."

I love the Kokiri who fucks with Link's head during the trading quest.

Even Link eventually becomes a Stalfos - Stalfos Link goes on to teach Twilight Princess Link advanced sword techniques (in one timeline at least).

The Shiekah are super interesting in Zelda lore. It's hypothesized that they are re-deads who have devoted themselves to protecting Hylian graves (e.g. where the sun song is stored). This sort of practice is reinforced in BotW where they suspend their animation to give spirit orbs to Link. Also, there was this idea that in the trailer for BotW2, Ganondorf was captured and his life force was being siphoned to power the robotics in Hyrule and that's the primary reason he could corrupt all the robits. It was as if the Shiekah had forced him to become suspended and tortured at the same time.

It would have been amazing to see some resolution to the shadow temple/civil war in the wake of getting the shadow medallion. Clearly it would be difficult to do as the first thing you ever create for the N64, but still. Maybe if Ganondorf had some general in his castle who was the person who started the war and it was revealed that he was the Hylian royalty who oversaw the tortures in the shadow temple.

The expansion ura zelda was gonna happen but nintendo backed out to the 64DD so nothing then. I keep hearing how a lot of ideas since were implemented for other temples but well :shrug-outta-hecks:. Also hope more story comes, feels like mr nintendo man is very against any story but is now taking a backseat to these recent games.

Quick prediction for BotW2: The blue energy used by Sheikah technology in BotW is actually a refined form of Ganon's malice. They were the ones that trapped Ganondorf under Hyrule Castle, in order to siphon malice energy from him. Calamity Ganon emerged when they started to lose control over the seal. This is also the reason that Calamity Ganon was able to take control of all Sheikah technology using malice.

        Just a thought
