Counterpoint:
In fact, you know, on one occasion [smoking] saved my life. I was in an airplane, a man was getting a seat for me, and I said, “Get me a seat in the smoking part, because if I can’t smoke I shall die.” And sure enough there was an accident, a bad accident,2 and all the people in the non-smoking part of the plane were drowned, and the people in the smoking part jumped into the Norwegian fjord where we’d landed, and we were saved. So I owe my life to smoking.
That's per year too.
How did you think you were gonna earn that 20 million dollars?
I tell myself I quit 4 years ago but I still buy a pack about one time a year, usually in the summer when work and the heat are beating me down, because "a smoker's a smoker when the chips are down."
Even without the edited meme part what is this graphic? Why would you represent 15 years in a cigarette length anyway? Why are different time spans the same length apart?
