all i remember from alien covenant is the sexual tension in the fassbender x fassbender flute and kissing scenes
turning a horror movie into an action movie is just such a cool concept.
Agree that 1 is god tier. 2 was directed by David Cameron, literally the inventor of the summer blockbuster, and it knocks it out of the park. Prometheus was boring. Haven't seen any of the other alien movies.
Prometheus gets a lot of hate but I liked it. It challenges the fairytale that we were created by a loving god. What if we were created by super-humamoids who hate our fucking guts? That’s a movie I’d want to see.
I just love the optimism in the beginning of the film. Then they eventually meet their maker (so to speak) and he rekks Weyland and David. Good stuff.
Covenant is utter trash, and this is coming from someone who thought Prometheus was okay. Alien, Aliens, and 3 are all fantastic. Again, Prometheus is not bad, I actually like it but it's flawed in some parts. Neill Blomkamp was robbed of his Alien movie.
Covenant was trash but there was a pretty excellent 5 minutes in there near the beginning to middle.
I was surprised everyone pissed and moaned about the crew member that shot the fuel tanks and blew up the ship. To me that was entirely convincing and well acted, and I think most people including myself would be blindly blasting the fuck out of that mother fucker. The scene leading up to that was intense and scary.
Still so mad that that game that was supposed to be a sequel was trash
The alien trilogy is just hit after hit. Love those movies.
I've actually never seen it but I've been meaning to forever. Gonna actually track it down now so I remember it's there when im ready to watch it
The part that would have made Covenant make sense was cut out of the theatrical release and put on YouTube. The movie still wouldn't have been good, but at least made a bit more sense.
