      It's actually the flag of the Communist Party of China.

      I really like the round design, it's a modern take on the classic hammer and sickle symbolism.

      PLA uses a different flag that has characters 8 and 1 on it, reference to the date of Nanchang uprising which marked the start of the Chinese civil war.

        On the contrary, I dislike the round end of the sickle. How on earth are you supposed to use the sickle to harvest grain? You have no handle. A real sickle looks like this.
