While it's great the political compass dorks are gonna hopefully get banned it really annoys me that they banned r/cth for the same reason, "brigading and hate"

So I was reading through this pinned announcement post on PCM yesterday because chud tears make me laugh, you know. And one comment (highly upvoted, lots of awards) literally said something like "Spez, face the wall". Which like, yeah, I'm on board, that's the correct sentiment, but how in the fuck is that not "inciting violence"? It's literally a death threat towards a person. That would never have flown on CTH after the admins took an interest, but on PCM it's apparently totally fine? Fucking reddit.

I'm reminded of when FatPeopleHate got banned for doxxing an Imgur employee. This shit does not matter until it impacts Reddit's bottom line. Spez doesn't give a shit about death threats. He's rich and insulated. But if he ever stops feeling that way... The hammer will drop.
Even the CTH shutdown was, at it's heart, about the money. Reddit Admins are more than happy to sell Leftist eyeballs to advertisers otherwise.
If it's never been reported by anyone then it's unlikely to be taken down. Go report it; the more the mods have to do, the more likely they are to slip up or burn out and quit, which will hasten the demise of the sub.
Someone on here was saying don't report anything, because accurate reports will keep the place from being banned

Im saying they argued that the way Reddit works is that they kill communities that don't report rule breaking content. So if you don't report bad PCM posts, eventually the admins will find it and notice it hasn't been reported, and eventually ban the whole subreddit.
Oh, got it! That can work, too, if that kind of non-compliance is widespread enough. And I guess that one post being still up is evidence that the non-compliance is pretty strong.

The fact that they allowed that shit for so long after banning the already dead TheDonald is honestly the biggest indictment of that shithole site there is.
Most people just accept landlords and their role as a part of the tapestry of society and think being against them is as weird as being vehemently against bus drivers, pharmacists or gardeners

The subreddit is just regurgitating Cold War propaganda to an audience pre-programmed to accept it. WaPo columns referencing Animal Farm and Two Cows memes in Poly Sci textbooks significantly pre-date Reddit.
These 14-yr-olds weren't introduced to these ideas on PCM.

I was amused by the people who got really angry at the dogs-eating-dog bit---not that it was a good bit, but it was an obvious one and easy to just move on past. Some folks just have to take the bait, though.

The things Chapo got banned for, which afaik were just saying kill slaveowners and parody cops, are pretty common in 196 so I could easily see it happening. It would be weird af for them to go after the weird meme subreddit instead of GZD for genocide denial which is far more likely though.

It's really just a meme that got out of hand and the joke got old, it should never have been taken seriously as a framework or lived beyond a year. I subbed and loved it when it had 30k subscribers or something now 500k and it's somehow one of the biggest "meme" subs, probably full of kids and fascists since they figured out how to hide behind the compass and propagandise with it, and worst of all maybe the mass of normies who now think equating the far-right and -left is cool and a funny joke
Tbh it's what they deserve for basing their politics around the fucking political compass
