stop using reddit, your life will be happier and more enjoyable. Stop subjecting yourself to that awful site with it’s majority awful people. Your brain has better things to do. :meow-floppy:
I am one year clean from reddit, it only takes one step to be a happier person :picard-pointing:
Reddit is genuinely a parallel to an actual addiction, where once you are clear of it, even a small amount of it seems disgusting.
A fed is telling us to stop using reddit and telling us to continue to post here. I don't know what to believe anymore. I just want to :grill: :grillman:
hexbear: has beautiful, expressive emojis such as :shinji-screm: :soviet-heart: :meow-knife-trans: :gamer-gulag: :free-real-estate: :trans-specter:
reddit: has small, ugly icons that you have to pay to use
the choice is simple
i REALLY have to stop myself from engaging with ppl on reddit in the comments at least
Yeah, it's tolerable as long as you don't really engage with anyone ever and just lurk in subreddits with cute animals
its useful for like sharing stuff on leftist subs, its just another social media basically, but idk how i keep getting drawn into fights and shit with people in the comments. just drives me nuts to see leftists saying dumb shit and not getting challenged on it. maybe i just need to turn off my computer indefinitely lmao
you guys just need to stop falling into the "reactive argument" trap.
Don't argue, don't react. Don't respond to doubters, or even "source? proofs?" people.
Simply push the talking points. Act first, then forget and move on.Alternatively, pretend to be a rightwing anti-China troll, and make your trolling so obnoxious and over-the-top that people come to hate you.

You're right though. But there's people to convert and we don't convert them without going to where they're at.
Ya that's it. I 100% support ppl who need to go go cold turkey for mental health reasons. Personally I just don't enjoy Reddit. But I will spend a bit of time cross posting to radicalise people not yet on the left.
Do agree that lots of people need to disengage with Reddit though.
I only use it for one or two fandoms I like. Personally I've been stuck on /r/hearthstone for card reveal discussions and /r/hearthstonecirclejerk to make fun of the shitty parts of the former sub (this is the top post of all time on /r/hearthstone, really embarrassing lol)
Reddit is basically two freight trains full of dumpster fires on a collision course. I don't want to be too near it, but it is morbidly fascinating.
One year clean... does that have anything to do with the banning of r/chapotraphouse by any chance?
Getting banned from r/politics a few years ago really helped me disengage. Feels good.
I realized this myself like two days ago, that R*ddit was affecting my happiness. I got myself in a real brain poison scenario and realized that, for me, I need to just lay off from visiting and concentrate on real life.
