stop using reddit, your life will be happier and more enjoyable. Stop subjecting yourself to that awful site with it’s majority awful people. Your brain has better things to do. :meow-floppy:
I am one year clean from reddit, it only takes one step to be a happier person :picard-pointing:
what are the rules regarding brigading?
like hypothetically, are we allowed to have threads on here where we brigade a certain reddit thread and swing the opinion of it? B/c we definitely have more than enough people to do so
Brigading reddit is good and we absolutely should be doing it. Social media is a modern propaganda network, and abandoning it is silly.
:geordi-no: "using" reddit
:geordi-yes: pushing agitprop on reddit
Yeah, that's why I was asking if it was against the rules. So much stuff slides on here (because the mods are super cool), that I felt like making reddit-brigading threads might be kosher.
We have a high ratio online people at any given time, so brigading would be a very effective way of changing public opinion.
I'm pretty sure there not only isn't a rule against it, but it's encouraged. !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net is usually a good place to start a brigade with a link and/or screenshot.
Just remember that posting a link makes it possible for redditors to find out where the brigade is coming from, if they happen to search around for the URL. In some cases, that may be undesirable.
Brigade safely out there, comrades.
Honestly, though, that could be a good thing. One reason the old CTH sub got so big is that it became this reddit boogeyman. Chuds and libs would start accusing people of brigading from CTH in every left-leaning thread, and I think that got a lot of people to check the sub out. I hadn't even heard about it until I saw some neocon screeching about "chapos" nonstop. A higher profile is generally good, and reddit can't ban this place for brigading anymore.
you could always post the link but take out one of the slashes
based, thanks. will do
If you say brigade for me daddy uwu then your breaking the rules, if you post the link and someone happens to threaten the op and he deletes the thread it's fair game.
what if I drop a reddit link and explicitly say "DO NOT BRIGADE THIS THREAD"
Well that's like trying to use reverse psychology on someone to get them to do something and that is gonna result in them doing the opposite of what you intended so in conclusion just threaten the lives of reddit posters, it works more often than you think.
