For ex: I used to pick each loose hair off my body throughout my shower. Now I leave them on and pick em all off at the end, and this speeds things up.
We are on this earth only for a short while, enjoy the few pleasures you are allowed, and spend the rest of your time destroying the foundation of the system that limits you to them
To help yourself be more aware of the time, you can get a clock that sticks your shower wall, or just set a timer on your phone.
Also I clean my body between applying conditioner and rinsing it out.
One of the best ways to reduce water consumption while showering is to turn it off when you don’t need it. Unless you’re actively rinsing off, you don’t need the water on, so you can turn it off. So, while you’re shampooing, conditioning, or lathering up your body you can turn it off.
This will mess up the water temperature a little, but if you’re doing this you’re probably not that concerned with temperature comfort.
Hmmmm I think skipping hair shampooing/conditioning or not wetting your hair every shower cuts down significantly. Some days when I have low spoons, I only really focus on scrubbing up the essential body parts. Also focusing on exfoliating every other shower or something may help and is probably better for your skin. Also not shaving in the shower, especially if youre shaving legs/pits/etc. I'll fill the bathroom sink with warm water and shave that way, when I do.
I've never thought to pick loose hairs. When I wash my hair ill try to gather those so I don't clog the drain but usually once you towel off and dry if there are hairs stuck to you they will kinda fall off.
what's a full length shower exactly lmao
but in all seriousness, for me at least when I'm going for speed I try to do my hair or anything that needs to sit, or to dry, first, and work methodically (ie, top to bottom or w/e) rather than absentmindedly washing whatever. I can't imagine having the time or patience to look over my whole body specifically looking for hairs, I just wipe down and rinse and its fine, not like it wouldn't just end up in my towel later anyhow
Top to bottom is just good form for any shower, especially in a public shower room
Grab an old slide from a defunct kids playpen and lodge a bunch of brushes into it, bristle side in. Get a belt and crank and wrap around it so that you can spin it, and hook it up to a simple 2 cycle engine. Dump a bunch of soap into it and then rinse off and jump through it. Easy peasy
So that's how taking a shower takes me so long. I guess cold water (or hot) helps some, its hard sticking it though. Washcloths speed up washing in general, idk about shampooing and conditioning though that still takes a min.
Use the sink to fill a bucket with hot tap water and use that to dunk in your wash cloth to scrub while the water is off.
Steps: turn water on and get wet. Shampoo hair. Wash face. Turn off water. Scrub body with wash cloth from top to bottom. Turn water on. Lightly "scrub" your face with water after getting the shampoo out of your hair. Rinse off everything else. Dump the soapy water bucket down the drain. Turn off water after giving it a few seconds to chase the remaining soap down the drain. Only requires the shower to be on for a few minutes total.
