I wasn't very impressed with Snowpiercer, the characters were weak and many plotholes . It was based especially in the first half but it's a bit simple. Reminded me of the recent Spanish film "The platform" another leftist film that's good but not great
I also have similar issues with both movies. I liked Snowpiercer a bit better as a movie though, had more flesh to it and didn't feel as much of a heavy handed allegory.
