Judging by the company that it's in, bullshit.

I've read the "she's anti-public school" criticism of Nina Turner before. I think it's valid. From an an intercept article about her 2012 Cleveland plan: "The original version of the Cleveland Plan, which Turner introduced in the state Senate, included a provision to gut existing union contracts and renegotiate everything from scratch. The “fresh start” provision, as it was known, would have also given the school district the power to unilaterally impose a contract if the two sides failed to reach an agreement."

"Another controversial measure included in Turner’s bill was a provision to allow charter schools to share in funds raised by local school levies"

It was a lousy bill, imo. If she were to win her election, she would probably waffle on a lot of her progressive stances and become yet another dunktivist squaddie creating a sideshow to benefit the empire. Her husband and son are both cops.

Are you accusing me of falling for literal DNC propaganda? I'm trying to read various sources on the Cleveland Plan and it all sounds like anti-union 'education reform.' I maintain that if she won, she would do the same pivot to the center all progressives do and we would get very little from her outside of some headlines that makes a few liberals say "yeah!" as long as they're not paying very much attention.
