New: Dems are planning to fund health coverage for roughly 2 million people shut out of Medicaid expansion in their new $3.5 trillion reconciliation package, Senate Budget Committee Chair Bernie Sanders told POLITICO.w/ @AliceOllstein https://t.co/iqutTr46jU— Rachel Roubein (@rachel_roubein) July 14, 2021
It's funny how I first saw the 'Joe Biden to launch 3.5 trillion partisan package' on 'hot' sort for r/politics...then I switched to 'controversial', and saw roughly 3 headlines about how Joe Manchin ain't for it lmao.
They're still regurgitating the "Biden cut child poverty in half!" line that was premised entirely on the minimum wage hitting $15. They absolutely don't care about reality, they're still trying to convince themselves America can be "saved". It's Blue MAGA front to back.
I thought it was the Child Tax Credit that was going to cut child poverty in half (although it would still fail to do so since nearly half of impoverished families don’t file taxes…)
You mean the reconciliation package that Joe Manchin won't vote for if stuff like this is in it?

Libs love to lie to themselves

In reality it’ll probably cut it by a quarter.

I thought it was predicated on both of those two things happening.
