Democratic Socialist was co-opted straight through 2020. Revolutionary Socialist will get snatched up the moment it gets in vogue. "Communist" is a pejorative that gets thrown around so much it almost doesn't matter if mainstream Dems claim it. It's just a thing Republicans call Democrats, the end.
If anything, I think we should go the other way. Just call ourselves "Moderate Centrists", "Sensible Independent", or whatever. Dismiss everyone else as extreme and bemoan Both Sides because they Both Suck. Insist the only way forward is municipal self-sufficiency. Do Juche for Middle America.
