Devastating floods both in Germany and China one week apart but vastly a different media response. Using anything to demonise China, even when they die.
Climate scientists actually aren't "shocked" by the floods in Germany, as they've predicted this stuff for decades.
I'm a chemist but I still go "whoa!" when I see fireworks. :shrug-outta-hecks:
Floods in Germany: sorted into the Flooding category.
Floods in China: sorted into the China category.
Texas freeze: death toll climbs as questions raised over preparedness
Something like 210 people died in that freeze, and it's a concervative estimate.
But hey, that's peanuts compared to COVID and we're already doubling down in opposition to a new quarantine.
Those people died from critical race theory and the state government is here to help
:shinji-screm:
I'd like to see a real comparison between the number of first responders who showed up to save lives, because China would put the entire god damn world to shame
Targeted dehumanization by the US government made the percentage of troops shooting to kill rise from about 20% in WWII to nearly 95% during the imperialist Vietnam war
Then there's the good ol' USA, where we build out into every floodplain but it's ok because we have paper mache levees (but we call them 500 year levees to make it sound safe).
In all fairness I have also seen a fair few articles on Germany's failure to prepare and respond to the the flooding :shrug-outta-hecks:
