    I didn’t understand exactly how fascism was a response to liberal capitalism until I read about Strasser or about Mussolini’s Class Collaborationism.

          The Strasser bit was from a Tom Nicholas video that I did some googling about afterwards. Strasser was a Nazi who represented the left wing of the party before Hitler consolidated power. He was the one who recruited Goebbels. He supposedly would have actually pushed to see more worker organization within the party (of course a very narrow definition of worker) but he was purged in the Night of the Long Knives.

          The class collaborationism was a straight up part of Mussolini’s writings that I read a bit about after a fascist caught me not knowing that Mussolini was a labor organizer earlier in life. He basically took a look at class divisions and said no these are part of human nature so the classes should do their best to reinforce the natural hierarchy because it’s mutually beneficial
