Mars PD will have to deal with new challenges like getting thrown out the airlock by the Worker's Militia.

it's gonna be workers running those set ups. Getting real "the moon is a harsh mistress" vibes, except hopefully less pedophilic

pinkertons can't run the factory. The fastest way to ship something down a gravity well is by dropping it. Workers will have to set up the computers that drop things to earth. during a strike, just set up a blockade against the spinkertons and start orbital bombardment.

And they think the police are going to be beat cops patrolling the martian wastes for little old ladies to help cross the street and not Elon's private security keeping the lithium mining slaves in check.

Maybe they should ask how police solve murders on earth. Oh, right, they only solve like 1/10 or fewer. Arguably solving murders that have already been committed may be one of the tasks that I could justify having police to do (that and ticket cars). And they are very very bad at it.

This is how delusional Americans have become about Elon whisking us all away to Mars. They're already fantasizing about CSI: Jezero Crater.

Firefox recommends a shitton of articles that range from super-lib to outright dystopian. Over half of my posts to this comm are just shit that FF homepage puts in front of my face every morning.
