If I remembered correctly it was a combo of people giving garbage if not borderline creeper dating advice, and dudes have existential crises over whether it was misogynistic to have enthusiastically consensual sex with a woman they have mutual attraction with.

So yeah like most relationship discourse in leftist spaces.

People go down this weird rabbit hole where they realize we live in a society and therefor basically anything they do can make them culpable in some fucked up system so they decide to do nothing.

Seriously I encountered some guy on tumblr once who basically decided to never leave his room, never consumed new media, and only ate rice and beans.

I'm basically at this point, but it's a lack of self-esteem on my part. I figure anyone interested in me has misunderstood the situation and I'd be taking advantage of them.

While it's a misguided thing to obsess over, it honestly isn't as weird as it sounds if you combine being aware of systemic misogyny/patriarchy with anxiety issues. Particularly if someone is generally prone to obsessive shame or has OCD or a similar type of anxiety disorder. Hexbear probably isn't the place to sort through something like that though and the dating comm definitely still seems like it was a bad idea lol.

whether it was misogynistic to have enthusiastically consensual sex with a woman they have mutual attraction with.

But what if there's an imbalance of power by any metric between the people hypotetically participating in the secs? Dating a person of different height than you can maybe be problematic

Someone once got really pissed at me at a leftist meeting cuz they learned 28 year old (at the time) was dating a 23 year old. Apparently 23 year olds are basically children and a guy who’s “almost 30” is way too old.

The age gap between my parents is 8 year btw.

This was me, except I was the younger person lmao. I was in my early 20's dating a women 6 years older than me, some weirdo kept asking if I was being abused and shit

          :jesse-wtf:

When I was 24 I hooked up with a 35 year old woman a few times. I don’t think big age gaps are inherently abusive if both parties are fully formed adult. Yeah 30 year olds shouldn’t be creeping on 18 year olds but honestly once you’re solidly in your 20s I feel like if you wanna fool around with some older people that you’re fucking business.

The worst part of dating an older woman is when you go down on her and she says "be a good girl for mommy" in an Lady Dimitrescu-esque voice which causes you to instantly develop a mommy fetish and then you can never love anyone of your own age ever again. That's why age gaps should be illegal

Yeah lol. Like I said in a previous comment, I was over a foot/30cm taller than them, so that should even out the power imbalances according to terminally weird creeps who thank dating someone significantly taller than you is "problematic". (Yes these people actually exist)

So middle-schooler-heighted adults should be forced to not date tall people? I agree because I want there to be taller and taller people so my kinesiologist friend has an ever increasing flow of people with posture problems.

Lol I'm 6'1 (185cm) and the person I was dating was around 5ft or less (152cm). They were also like 6 years older than me though, so according to weirdo creep infantile logic the power imbalances should even out.

I think it was skewed to your side cuz you could easily put her on a high shelve and basically imprison her.

The average height of women in my country is 158cm/5'2 so yeah I've been significantly talker than every women I've dated. It's pretty cool I guess, I dunno really

All I said was I could tell who they were talking about. Considering all the gross infantilizing stuff he always said about women, leaving it at that is in impeccable taste.

I don't really recommend it. Not because of anything specific to this site; same shit at reddit, twitter, etc. Being this online is unhealthy.

Not to be that guy. Wouldn't the thought of performing the masculine gender role causing distress be considered gender anxiety? That is some egg emotional traune right or am I wildly projecting.
