Espeon is easily my favorite Gen 2 and second favorite overall.
Not a big fan of Unowns tbh.
I complete forgot about Unown. Objectively the worst gen 2 Pokémon if not the worst Pokémon of all time.
Oh yeah, Unown. I forgot about them. Dislike gimmick pokemon like that overall. Really impractical to have to make 26 sprites for a pokemon no one will ever battle with.
Fav: Crobat. I did a play through of the games where I only used “shitty” Pokémon, and was like Zubat’s annoying so I’ll use that. Barb Gordon ended up being my favorite.
Least Fav: Unown. Lame design, terrible stats and move set.

Umbreon and Espeon are not particularly great pokemon in terms of power, but I do love their very sleek feline designs. Furret is another fucking classic ofc, shout out to the long boi. worst I'm gonna go with Hoppip, Magikarp sucks but at least it evolves into something useful
Good news! Espeon and Umbreon are actually pretty powerful
525 base stat total is ok I suppose, but it's not gonna fuck shit up. HP and defense are both pretty low on Espeon, and then Umbreon has 65 attack and s attack but it's not exactly a tank that can stall and make use of the s def/def
True true, but Espeon has high speed and Special and can be a decent glass cannon, and Umbreons decent defence + toxic and moonlight can be fun, especially if poison forces your opponent to switch, giving pursuit a huge boost.

In the newer gens Espeon can get an ability that automatically reflects enemy status moves and I have caught out so many people with that in online matches lmao. Magic bounce bby!

favorite - Wobbafett because of a moment in smash bros brawl where i almost died from suicunes ice beam until a wobbafett spawned in front of me and blocked the ice beam
least favorite- Stantler. Just a really ugly deer.
I'll have to say favorite is Crobat. I never hated Zubat or Golbat like a lot of people did and it was really cool that it evolved after liking me. For adolescent me, it felt so immersive and I attached to it and all the other ones who had high friendship with me.
Least favorite was probably Politoed. I greatly prefer Poliwrath and I felt like the split evolution was unnecessary.
Crobat also is one of the few sources of character arcs in the games, whenever an asshole manages to evolve one.
Unknown is the worst of any gen. Meganium is a really good design, even if it's not all that good.
