Cenk Uygur @cenkuygur 3h Can everyone please stop the dumb "from the river to the sea" chant? It is incredibly hurtful to our Jewish brothers and sisters. It's also incredibly counterproductive to protecting Palestinians. Do not chant something that majority thinks is call for genocide. Not complicated. Dec 11, 2023 · 11:09 PM UTC

Not too long ago I was at a pro-Palestine protest where members of Jewish Voice For Peace were gladly joining along with "From the river to the sea" chants

So shut the fuck up Cenk

It's genuinely hilarious he's running for president. Like people either have no idea who he is or are so terminally lib brained they're definitely voting for Biden anyways.

Hasan said on the latest Patreon episode of Fear& that no one (Cenk and the family) thinks he is going to win and that the point of him running is that, if he gains any traction at all, Democrats are going to have to admit they need to replace Biden with someone else.

He was and is not eligible under current laws (as he has been told repeatedly by state election officials). The only good thing to possibly come out of this campaign is getting that law changed, but don't hold your breath because burgerland is way too fucking racist on aggregate to possibly tackle that.

I think it's one of those things where he could run but legally he can't be president. I have no idea honestly. It was a blip in conversation about how Gruesome Gavin should run because he's hot and who the hottest president was.

his argument iirc is that that clause should be considered overturned by the 14th amendment (?) which guaranteed equal protection under the law to naturalized citizens or something.

He also cited like 4 other examples of people being elected despite having outright fake or tenuous claims to being born here

Isn't that basically why Marianne Williamson is running? She's polling way higher than Cenk ever would and the media are happy to pretend she's not running.

Imagine being such a bootlicking loser that the only reason you spend tons of money running for president is so that 'your' party maybe concedes that their candidate sucks.

And replace Biden with what, exactly? Some other hollowed out husk of a human that has 97% of the same views Biden does?

Joe Biden is a liberal, maybe THE liberal; he IS 'your team'.

There's half a dozen other candidates who would already prove that and they're all left of this dumbass.

If he somehow found a genie in abotlle and started polling above 10% he'd start telling his followers that they need to drop it get serious and start supportung Biden.

Exactly like he did on the verge of crocodile tears with Hillary in 2016.

Imagine getting dominated that badly and thinking "yeah I definitely have a deep understanding of politics and my fellow americans" instead of just stepping back from bloviating and retiring

I guess that's what happens when you don't get the Armenian vote because you don't think their genocide was real either.

That shit was pathetic. It would have been smarter for him to go more local and run for a spot on a school board or the LA city council. Probably would have had more success too if his enormous ego didn't get in the way.

It's literally the stereotype of somebody wasting their time on electoralism.

Let's start a campaign for president where I get less than 1% of the vote instead of doing anything that literally anyone could argue might have some potential value.

I mean, there's a clothing store in the US called "Banana Republic". Is that a bad look? Sure, to people like us, who know. But at a certain point your brand surpasses the original atrocity it's associated with in the cultural memory and no one cares.

I love how libs will insist everything is "complicated" except for defense of atrocities. Defending atrocities is the only non-complicated thing in the world and they are gobsmacked whenever others express those strange things called "morals."

First "that phrase is a call for genocide because we said so" combined with the more recent "maybe we should stop calling everything 'genocide'" whenever anyone describes what Israel is doing.

    Utterly cooked.
