I had a box barely the size of a pint, you asked me to leave, I politely said I would, then you kept screaming and screaming at me how I was "stealing" as I walked away.

you didn't plant this, it's at least 250 feet long, there's hundreds of pounds of berries here, and you're not gonna pick them you desiccated rich-ass piece of shit, fuck you. your sToLeN blackberries are going taste great on my vanilla ice cream.

I used a ladder to get mulberries from a neighbor's tree this year, with their permission, and they said they had never even considered doing that. They were glad I picked them, and of course I shared some with them.

Fuck the rich, "their" berries are the least they should be worried about getting eaten.

We used to have people who would come in a truck with like 5 people and a ton of bags and pick our entire tree in less than a minute. A couple years ago we left a sign that said “people in truck: apples are free. no need to rush”. And when they stopped we went out and talked to them. They were doing this to make some extra cash and I told them I’d help them pick as long as we could have a bushel. If I can make a pie I’m happy.

That’s lovely. My elderly parents pick apples from their tree and give them to their neighbours. If they have a bumper crop, they’ll leave bags of them out by the sidewalk for people passing by to take home. They know that if they didn’t do this, they’d spoil before they could eat them - why hoard something that can be of use to others?

On politics, they despise Tories and liked Corbyn, but preferred Tony Benn. I feel lucky.

Sorry you had to deal with that bs; Bougie people do be hating people foraging for some reason. Guess they don't want anything to be free even if it's literally growing in the ground near their house.

Fucking christ, who makes that big of a fuss over wild blackberries? Those things are fucking weeds. They're everywhere. If you want some so badly you grouchy old shit just go 10 feet the other way there are so fucking many, calm down

You enjoy those berries. That person sounds like an asshole.

I agree with others here that you should take a cutting and grow some more.

Hell, I wish I had land, I'd make a public fruit and veg garden that everyone could enjoy.

I have a handful of Prime Ark Freedoms (new as of 2013 variety of primocane-fruiting thornless blackberries from UofArkansas horticulture program) on order for October, gonna plant some along my fence

Y'know what I keep scrolling past this and have concluded you should not only take this guy's blackberries but also rob him.

they never identified themselves as such, used passive instead of possessive language and were driving a car slightly too cheap for the fancy houses. if I had to guess they were "the help" and also a bootlicker
