But what does that say to all of us. How are we supposed to trust that it's nonbinding so it's fine? Democrats don't have a good track record on following through on progressive promises
If you believe in defunding the police, you'd never sign your name to something like this
So the fact that it's non-binding isn't the thing I'm concerned about. It's about this failure of a party doing anything they can to obstruct progress and make it clear that they don't care about what's best for the majority of the country
What would it even mean for it to be non binding? That the federal executive gets to decide whether to actually cut funding to places that defund police? Because if that's what it means, making it non-binding is arguably worse. That means they'll get whatever PR victory they want to, deflate protests, and still watch it be enforced potentially by Biden and definitely by whatever fascist demagogue replaces him.
Third thread about this.
Third thread to fail to mention that it's non binding.

Well, the Dems don't, so
So the fact that it's non-binding isn't the thing I'm concerned about. It's about this failure of a party doing anything they can to obstruct progress and make it clear that they don't care about what's best for the majority of the country
Lol k
Laws to name post offices have greater real effects than this will.
It's almost like this specific amendment, in isolation, is not really what people are reacting to
Oh? :very-intelligent:
It's been spelled out for you. Keep being a dick for no reason if that's what you want, I guess
You first.
Why are you consistently an asshole?
Uhh uhh it's non binding! It's non binding!
Okay then don't do it at all wtf
Yeah they shouldn't have.
