      Most military craft are older than you would think. Did you know F-16s are from the mid 70s? The first of them were deployed months before the Vietnam picture was taken.

      Most military equipment is fucking old. For example the main HMG the military uses, the M2. .50 cal machine gun, has been in use since ww2.

    The Viet Cong did not take Saigon. They were destroyed during the Tet Offensive in 1968.

    Some say the PAVN ordered them to attack deliberately, knowing the Americans would slaughter them. Thereafter the PAVN had Vietnam to itself without any pesky interlopers.
