Reminds me of that debate on Bill Maher's show between Ben Shapiro (lmao) and some guy, the discussion was around "Critical Race Theory" and the other guy (whose name I don't know) said that Texas was trying to erase their own history by removing all references to the KKK. Maher, in typical lib and neolib fashion, responded "Well, it's Texas.."
They're all repulsive.
Texas had a few Democratic governors but they were all waffling centrists who could not cement any lasting legacy besides consensus and compromise.
Most folks don't want to vote for fence sitters, over and over again. That is what centrists the world over have never been able to truly comprehend.
What's the concensus on Ralph Yarborough? He seems like one of those later New Deal progressives like Frank Church or Mike Gravel.
He wanted Texas to become a major tech and space hub.
Was very into NASA locating there. That is all I know.
