This has literally been irritating the shit out of me for years
why?
and I have yet to get a real answer.
what would make an answer real?
In the past when I’ve asked about this the responses have always been either…
a. Conjecture.
b. Assumptions of bad faith (or what feels like assumptions of bad faith).
I've never seen the word "folx" used in print. I have heard corporate guidance on using inclusive terms like "folks" instead of "ladies and gentlemen" for group meetings and emails. "Colleauges and friends" is another one.
If I saw someone write "folx" I would assume they were joking or trying to piss off anti-woke dipshits.
It's to make their arguments or positions seems natural and conversational, instead of handed down by the board exxon. Delivering it as if it's a lesson from your grandma convinces them that they're morally correct.
