In like seconds sometimes. It depresses me because I love that kind of stuff and it sometimes seems like it will be years before they are readily available.

    Getting it from Sony is the fairest, since there's a waiting room an hour beforehand or so, and then it's just a raffle. Always worth a try when Sony gets them in stock.

      I genuinely don’t understand why they aren’t all through Sony. Sony made the thing and it’s consistently selling out, there’s no reason to go through 3rd party retailers

        3rd party contracts most likely. They were probably signed years ago and no reason to pull out. Not too mention they probably lack the infrastructure to sell directly to consumers. The consoles are a B2B product in that sense
