Can everyone please stop the dumb "from the river to the sea" chant? It is incredibly hurtful to our Jewish brothers and sisters. It's also incredibly counterproductive to protecting Palestinians. Do not chant something that majority thinks is call for genocide. Not complicated.

Thank you for supporting the genocide. Here's your participation trophy and souvenir dead children.

It's wild how if you take like 1-3 steps away from the namesake podcast of the sub that eventually spawned this Lemmy, you get people like Leigh Philips and Lee Fang who say this shit. It's not just that people want access. They resent the enthusiasm of the palestinian resistance which they would like to view as dead weight.

Often people who recommend this stuff to me say "well they just want to "hide their power level"." Bc they want to access NGOs, publishers, magazines, newspapers etc. that would be closed off if they expressed a correct stance. Or even security clearance shit, you seek out interviews with the Daniel Ellsbergs and the Hershes and ppl the same way they seek out a patronage relationship with the part of the intel community that wants to pull out of Ukraine because it's been further destabilizing the US position globally by exposing our limitations & wasting a lot of resources and have some overlap geopolitically.

The ones like Blumenthal, Fang, Taibbi, etc. that are looking for favor from reactionaries just come across like dead eyed fucking weirdos

I believe that Israel is writing the names of people that they don't like. They probably wrote Cenk's name because he supports Palestine. He went on the Piers Morgan show to defend Palestine 2 times. Israel wrote his name because they hate him. The names are written as a threat.

On the other bomb, you see Andrew Tate and Jackson Hinkle. These are 2 right wing grifters who are against Israel. Andrew Tate came out in support of Palestine because he converted to Islam. Jackson Hinkle ("maga communist") is a fascist who hates Jewish people.

Yeah, Cenk is an idiot liberal. Cenk condemning people for saying "from the river to the sea" is pretty on par for liberals, being more concerned with policing the means of achieving progress than actually achieving progress. However, Cenk is not a Zionist. He posted this image on his twitter himself and wrote that Israel was afraid of him because if he were US president, he would force a ceasefire.

Yeah this is a good point to make because Ukraine was doing the opposite. They were writing the names of their supporters on shells while live streaming on telegram.

Andrew Tate converted to Islam in October 2022. He came out in support of Palestine around a week after Oct 7 2023. He went on the Piers Morgan show to argue in support of Palestine on November 20, the video has 7 million views on youtube. Sometimes bad people come to the right conclusion.

I realize, with horror, that Andrew Tate's name is probably not on there because he's a misogynistic sex trafficker, but because he was critical of Israel.

Mostly right but spending a not insignificant time libbing out saying things like "we have to retire 'from the river to the sea' because people think it's calling for murder now"

He runs The Young Turks, one of the largest American political shows online. It's always presented itself as vaguely social democratic but Cenk and Jimmy Dore both came out of it to become right-wing democrats. I'd continue not knowing because it's a shitty show.

He was also a conservative before becoming a liberal/socdem. He wrote really sexist blog posts in the past. Like this one where he complains that women's genes are flawed for not wanting to have sex with him: https://web.archive.org/web/20020607165341/http://www.youngturk.com:80/newpage41.htm

Yeah this is 100% sincere. He has since apologised for it and accepted that what he wrote was abhorrent but yeah this is what he was like at one point whatever you make of it.

To be clear Cenk is something like the right wing of the Bernie Sanders crowd, and kind of a dumbass, while Dore is a full on grifter right winger at this point

Personaly I prefer to think his only actual relevance is being part of the launching platform for Hasan(Cenk is his uncle?), he is pretty much irrelevant otherwise so far. Maybe if Bernie had pushed the election TYT would have been a bit more relevant but nah.

No. Andrew Tate converted to Islam because he thinks that Islam requires women to be more submissive to him. Andrew Tate came out in support of Palestine because he is Muslim. He's showing solidarity for other Muslims. He went on the Piers Morgan show multiple times to defend Palestine. Not everyone who supports Palestine is progressive. Broken clocks and whatever. Israeli wrote Andrew Tate on the bomb as a threat to Andrew Tate.

I think the hearts are confusing people, but this is meant to be a threat to people that Israel doesn't like.

Surprised Hasan's name isn't on there. He's more well-known than Cenk and has been very vocal on his positions with Palestine and Israel.
