The state is not holding up its part of the deal. If the government won't enforce vaccines, and hospitals can't enforce vaccines, then all the risk is being put on healthcare workers. Surprised this didn't happen sooner.
It never was going to go back to normal. Now, wait for climate change to really kick in to cement it.
Can't blame em I quit my job last year because of the risk of catching COVID from dumbass customers, doctors and nurses are at a larger risk of catching it when they deal with so many COVID patients

Regardless, as much carnage and trauma these poor people are going through, I'm glad that Healthcare workers are beginning to resist directly. Burnout and leaving bit by bit are a soft form of striking, but walkouts like this are something else entirely. Can you imagine if nurses and doctors staged walkouts across the country until vaccine mandates were in effect? Until a 6 week shut down with full support for workers was instituted? If medical workers and their unions led the effort, I think you very well could see teachers unions and others joining in as well. It's absolutely a long shot, but I feel like something resembling a general strike is on the horizon if you squint pretty hard. Whether such an extreme action happens or not, though, this surely is an example of heightening tensions due to material conditions. People will be more interested than ever inrevolutionary ideas. Scary yet exciting times.
