yes, I did stop lurking specifically to post this screenshot about the dress

Also, since I don't see it talked about around here much, ATTENTION Kshama is currently in a recall fight with the recall vote (which will then trigger an election) coming up in a few months, consider donating to the solidarity campaign or phonebanking or some shit, I know some of you libs still volunteer for beto

just as we’ve seen with m4a etc.

Oh god, not Force the Vote again. You people just will not shut up about it. I'm going to be hearing about this incessantly for the next 10 years, aren't I? Christ.

To expand: even if you think this dress stunt was actually a good idea for raising awareness or such,

Actually, I think it was a good idea because it gave terminally online people something to be mad about. Which is what they want, even if they won't admit it. Otherwise they can't post takes and would just be bored. Beyond that, it had no effect on anything and I'd prefer to have no opinion on it, but people keep talking about it so here we are.

Yea, I'll never understand those against force the vote. Its activism that would work. Just look at Joe Manchin. What kind of person claims those for genuine activism are "terminally online"? That's clearly the opposite of what what they think "terminally online" and "activism" means. Which is why I cant see those sort as an ali. Its projection and deflection. No change for beneficial progress has ever been made without activism. It was never done by a few hand picked idols. Those against force the vote has only further shown themselves to be complicit with the way things are. The fact that they never provide an alternative that would reach anything of progress, is proof they dont actually care about changing anything.
