      When fucking Spain nearly overtakes China as your second largest trading partner, China is, at best, a neutral connection. China doesn't give a fuck about ideology, and because China sees little use for Cuba, economically speaking, to even suggest China is some great friend to Cuba is fanciful crap. Cuba might as well be Java to China.

        Spain (and the former Soviet Union for that matter) are literally multiple continents closer to Cuba than China is. Does China use the Suez and Panama canals to trade with Cuba or does China-Cuba trade have to route around the whole Eurasian supercontinent and/or around South America?

        91% of all DPRK trade is with China. To me it looks like Cuba-China shipping routes would be the longest in the world, especially if shipments can't go through Panama or Suez without seizure.
